CB East/CB West Field Hockey ‘Pink Out’ 2024
We were invited to be the beneficiaries of an amazing evening at CB West War Memorial Field. The Field Hockey Pink Out between CB East and CB West is always amazing. Last night there was a stand out moment that happened on the field before the game. A beautiful tribute to honor Zoe Morelli, who was the mother of a CB West student and player!
Below is the announcement made on behalf of Zoe last night at the game. We wanted to share this for those who were not at the game to hear it in person:
Before our game gets underway this evening, we would like to dedicate tonights Pink Out game to Zoe Morelli who passed away on October 3rd after her courageous battle with metastic breast cancer. She was a loving mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend to many. Zoe possessed such dynamic, yet effortless energy; she always changed the atmosphere for the better.
Zoe was a standout field hockey player at Pennsbury High School and continued her career at Becker Junior College, where she was later inducted into the Hall of Fame. She earned All-American honors at Shippensburg University and received numerous accolades throughout her field hockey career.
Zoe’s spirit will live on, we would like to take a moment of silence to honor Zoe, the breast cancer survivors among us and pay tribute to those who can’t be here.
Our athletes and their families stand with you. We admire your bravery and perseverance. We appreciate you all for being here tonight.
Like Zoe, Main St. strives to change the atmosphere for the better. We stand with the teams, coaches and parents in honoring Zoe and her family! We hope that they find comfort in the fact that they have a community of love an support behind them!
